HPOWAS MATCH RESULTS 2025/26
Match 16 07/12/25 LITTLESTOKE
Our match season continued at Littlestoke on Sunday 7th December. Ten anglers braved the conditions which were far from perfect with the inclement weather and obvious signs of pollution floating down the river which made for an unpleasant day all round.
Pete Finch triumphed on the day with 1-6-0 just beating Dave Mahoney and Chris Peel who both had 1-5-0. None of the others who fished broke the pound barrier leading to our worst result at our venue this season. The full results can be found by clicking on the result tab above

TROPHY NEWS
TROPHY NEWS AFTER MATCH 16 - LITTLESTOKE 07/12/25
As a result of the Littlestoke Match Gary Wood lead is now 14 Pts over Trevor Rowe with Tim Watts still 16.5 Pts behind Trevor. Needless to say with the poor weights there was very little movement With 4 matches remaining it is likely that the Champion will come from one of these 3 as the next nearest angler is 45 Pts behind Gary. Our next match is on the 14th December which is our Christmas Match at Royal Berks Fishery which is a non-points scoring match so our next Club match is not until the end of January 2026

After our last Canal Match at Three Locks on the GUC and with one match remaining at Grove Marina on the GUC at the end of January Gary Wood leads the way with 44 Pts with Trevor Rowe 2 points back and Tim Watts a further 13 Points back in 3rd place. Realistically it is now a 2 horse race between Gary and Trevor. If Gary beats Trevor or finishes within 1 point of him he will win the title.

After the latest Littlestoke match the River Cup Tim Watts has seen his lead trimmed to 2.5 Pts ahead of Chris Peel who is now 5 pts clear of Trevor Rowe in 3rd place. With only 1 match remaining at Littlestoke and with 6 out of 7 matches to count the winner will come from one of these three with Neil Smith being the only other person in with a chance but would have to rely on the top 3 having the proverbial mare!!

After the Court Farm match in the Stillwater Cup Jeff Hobbs is now 5 Points clear of Gary Wood with Pete Finch 2 points further back with 2 Stillwater matches remaining so plenty still to fish for.
