   HPOWAS MATCH RESULTS 2025/26

Club Match 19 at Court Farm 1/3/26

Our penultimate Match of our season was held at Court Farm on the 1st March.  Seven anglers fished on the day and the match was convincingly won by Gary Wood with 70-8-0 with Karl Townsend in 2nd place with 31-0-0.  Jeff Hobbs and Trevor Rowe tied for third with 21-8-0.  Our final match is our usual visit to Littlestoke on the 8th March.

Club Match 20 at Littlestoke 8/3/26

Our last match of the season at Littlestoke on 8th March turned out to be a disappointing day around for the 11 anglers who fished.  The exception to this was from the winner, Trevor Rowe, who had 5-13-0 including a magnificent Chub of 5-11-0 which is 2nd in the 'All Time Chub at Littlestoke' list (See the picture on the right top see Trevors fish).  Neil Smith was 2nd  with 2-2-0 with Darren Smith 3rd on 1-2-0.   Click on the Results tab above to see the full result.

TROPHY NEWS

TROPHY NEWS AFTER MATCH 20   -   Littlestoke 8/3/26

The Littlestoke result made no difference to the overall winner of the Championship as Gary had already amassed winning lead but it did hint at what might have been had Trevor been closer to Gary before Sundays match with Trevor winning and Gary 'blanking'.   The end result saw Gary Wood finish with 105.5 pts with Trevor back on 98 pts.  Pete Finch finished on 72 pts holding off Tim Watts on 67 pts so congratulations go to Gary on triumphing again.

Our Grove Marina match was our last match of the Canal Match season and as a result of his triumph Gary Wood is this years Canal Cup winner 4 points clear of Trevor Rowe with Tim Watts 3rd and Chris Peel 4th

As a result of our final Littlestoke match the River Cup has been won by Tim Watts who finished on 50 Pts with Neil Smith 5 pts back in 2nd Place.  With Trevor Rowe winning and Chris Peel blanking meant they both finished tied for 3rd wit 41.5 pts so  congratulations to Tim who has been there and thereabouts all Season

As a result of our final match at Court Farm the Stillwater Cup has been won in the most dramatic fashion.  Going into the match Jeff Hobbs was still favourite assuming he finished in outright 3rd or above.  Unfortunately he tied 3rd with Trevor Rowe so they both received 7.5 pts.   As a result of Gary winning he won by 0.5 pts. Trevor Rowe finished 13 Pts further back in 3rd 0.5 pts clear of Pete Finch.
